Introduction
EHED (Education, Health, Environment & Development) Welfare Organization is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization, operating in Balochistan since 1992. Our work spans across various sectors focusing on grassroots empowerment through self-help, collaboration, and data-driven social change. We are committed to inclusive development by enabling access to education, healthcare, environmental protection, and institutional strengthening.
Our Vision
To undertake a holistic approach leading to the empowerment of marginalized groups and work for sustainable development by tapping interventions across multiple sectors of society.
Goals & objectives
- Support sustainable development interventions through research, monitoring, documentation, and policy analysis.
- Promote social, economic, and political empowerment, especially among women.
- Improve access to health, education, water, and sanitation services.
- Capacitate civil society institutions for local development and participation.
- Utilize ICT to maximize developmental impact and community outreach.
- Promote conservation of natural resources and environmental awareness.
Health
We aim to improve access to equitable, sustainable, and quality healthcare. Our focus includes reproductive health, primary care, communicable diseases (HIV/AIDS, TB, Hepatitis, Malaria), childhood illness reduction, traditional medicine, and school health services.
Education
EHED champions education for all, especially girls. We promote early childhood development, life skills education, informal and adult literacy, and technical skill training to build resilient communities. Also working on assessment of children for their learning outcomes to suggest further planning and strategies for educational development.
Human Resource Development
We offer training, HR planning, and staff performance enhancement services to empower both individuals and institutions, ensuring efficiency and growth.
Public Sector Management
We assist public institutions in redefining management practices through HR development, budgeting, MIS systems, and sectoral planning for better governance and accountability.
Economic Development & Planning
Our economic planning services include decentralization policy, resource allocation, institutional restructuring, and development of automated MIS and financial systems. We also support capacity building and strategic planning for public agencies.
Gender & Development
We facilitate women’s active participation in governance and society by mainstreaming gender policies, training, advocacy, and ensuring institutional support for empowerment and equality.
Information Technology
Our IT initiatives include custom software solutions, e-governance, data entry, networking, systems integration, and capacity building plans for digital transformation.
Institutional Development & Poverty Alleviation
EHED supports institutional reform by aligning goals, restructuring procedures, and helping organizations become accountable to their communities while alleviating poverty through grassroots participation.

- ASER Education Survey (2011–2023) across Balochistan in collaboration with Idara-e-Taleem-o-Agahi.
- Livelihood skills training for rural communities in Pishin – UNDP 2016.
- Social Accountability Study in Ziarat – Pakistan Coalition for Education.- 2017
- Women Shade Magazine – Technical & financial support (2012–2014).
- Construction of 25 shelters and 800ft street paving – UN-Habitat 2011.
- MICS Survey translation and comparative analysis – 2010 with P&D Department, GoB.
- “No to Terrorism” national campaign – 1 million signatures collected-2008
